We Are The Monsters.

A new Celtic fusion project brought to you by members of Monster Ceilidh Band, Kathryn Tickell & The Darkening, Jez Lowe and the Bad Pennies, and The Shee.

This pioneering contemporary folk project sees traditional roots and electronic influences come together in innovative new ways. Though many have claimed to push new boundaries in folk, We Are The Monsters offer truly groundbreaking experiments in music production.

This five-piece electro-folk line up features some of the finest names in UK folk, including accordion star Amy Thatcher, violinist Grace Smith, octave mandolin player Kieran Szifris, drummer Joe Truswell and award-winning electronic experimentalist and bassist David de la Haye.

Although they’ll still perform together in other line-ups, this new project sees the group gain confidence and creative freedom to boldly step out into previously unexplored territories. Their new EP, Mutated, will be released in March 2022, and they can’t wait to share it with audiences up and down the country.

One thing’s for sure – We Are The Monsters will have you up on your feet all night, so get those dancing shoes on and get ready to let your hair down!
