We are so very sorry to hear that our wonderful friend Mick Peat has sadly passed away after a short illness.
Mick always welcomed us with open arms and a big smile. He was always encouraging and interested in our music events and supported us with his words of wisdom - offering us sound advice and then would go on to tell us that what we were doing was “absolutely superb!”.
Being invited by Mick Peat and Bob Rushton to be involved with Derby Folk Festival over the past few years, has given us some very special memories indeed. We send all of our love, thoughts and prayers to his wife Celia and their family and to all their many friends in their extended ‘Folk’ family far and wide.
Rest in peace Mick - you will always be “absolutely superb!” to us.
